Eco-Tourism Sites
Major tourist attractions, which are potential eco-tourism sites include: Mt. Haboog; Mangrove Areas facing Lungsodaan Bay, the Buho Caves (an ancient burial site) in Tubod, Naasug, Landing, and Bawangan Karst mountain range, sitio Laka and Popoog area. A particular cave in Popoog is considered by observers as the biggest among the caves in the Bawangan-Naasu-Popoog mountain range, with bats and guano deposits; and the cave is believed to be connected to Anda Caves); the Japanese Soldiers Burial Site, Bawangan Karst Mountain and Forest Area, where a number of endangered flora and fauna species are found. The engangered fauna species include the native monkeys and carabaos.
Other attractions are Popoog Point with blue water diving site; and the Limadjag Island, a magnificent atoll island formation, which is a favorite and foremost picnic area of the residents of both Lungsodaan and Baybayon. The guard observation and monitoring post of the Municipal/Barangay Bantay Dagat Task Force is now established in the Limadjag island.
